Data Zone Thailand Sustainability goals and commitment
Driving positive environmental impact throughout our business is a priority for Data Zone Thailand. Not only by our efficient design to reduce IT footprint and energy consumption, but also by empowering people around us to live more sustainably.
Data Zone Thailand has committed to minimizing its data center carbon footprint by implementing a methodic sustainability approach featuring energy efficiency measures and renewable energy procurement, all backed by technical innovation and social initiatives.
Renewable Energy
In line with the company’s policy to help save the planet, reduce global warming and greenhouse effect, Data Zone Thailand was the first multi-tenant Tier III data center implementing a solar panel farm in the country, bringing renewable energy to the digital infrastructure of the country.
Our commitment to provide the best digital infrastructure and contributing to Thailand ‘s sustainable energy landscape is once again demonstrated with this initiative towards efficiency and sustainability. And thanks to its tropical location, Thailand is an ideal place for solar panel harvesting, receiving large amount of solar radiation through the year.
Our colocation solutions reduce the environmental impact of our clients IT infrastructure to benefit their own corporate ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) goals, while providing them with a competitive advantage.
Energy Management
Equipped with the world leading data center technology solutions, our energy goals are achieved by maintaining a low Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) level and running our data center in an efficient way.
We are able to achieve a lower PUE level than the average data center in Thailand which is a 100% heat containment platform that completely separates the hot and cold aisles ensuring that the hot equipment exhaust is never blended into the cold aisles in the data center.
The TSCIF works in tandem with our air handlers that has its own environmental station and software that will decide (based on the ambient condition) which one of the 3 types of cooling (or combination) is the most efficient way to cool and humidify the air on the way into the data hall.
Furthermore, the data center is equipped with motion sensors and LED lighting systems.
Migrating their ever-expanding IT loads into an efficient and sustainably focused colocation data center such as Data Zone Thailand offers corporates and governments support with their sustainability goals, as well as significant cost savings.
Waste Management
We have a waste management policy in place to affirm Data Zone Thailand’s commitment to efficient waste disposal, to reduce and recycle waste produced, and to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
Our IT Asset Disposal program, ensure unused equipment to be disposed data safe, environmentally responsible manner. Through a network of specialized partners, retired IT assets are resold, refurbished, recycled, or donated to charity in needs.
Furthermore, we use filtered water to minimize the use of plastic bottles and our data center premises have a highly-efficiency lavatories that saves a substantial amount of water, and our waste are separated and disposed properly to reduce the potential impact of the product on health and the environment. Our employees also receive trainings to optimize their disposal practices, at work and at home.
Also, we have digitalized many of our operational procedures, whereby we hardly use any paper. Our customers are required to complete forms and requests via our customer portal without the need of printing the documents.
